via Daily Prompt: Relocate

When I moved to Milwaukee from Chicago

Everyone thought I had moved from England to Milwaukee

Because why would a person with such a nice accent move to anywhere but Milwaukee?

Where the beer is much better than the luke-warm of England

And despite the segregation of the masses into convenient suburbs and districts

There is a warmth to the city that can’t be captured in the large metropolis to the south

Because although some consider Milwaukee to be the poor cousin of sweet home Chicago

The truth is that everything is here except for the crowds.

I am a published author. I was born in England and now live in the United States! I have a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. In my spare time, I like to run.
